Application
As a new natural sweetener of agent, stevioside can be widely applied in various kinds of food, beverage, medicine, daily cosmetics. Broadly speaking, stevioside can be used to replace the cane sugar or saccharine. Currently steviosides are mostly applied in beverage, pharmaceutical, especially in beverage. Moreover it has a certain extent application in cigarettes, cold food, canned food, fruit, spices, alcohol, chewing gum, toothpaste, and mouthwash. Steviosides have different using dosage in different products. In order to guarantee the product quality and get a good taste, it needs repeated research to get a better proportion.
